I do not offer commissions often anymore, let alone commissioned full illustrations- this is an incredibly rare chance.

WHEN WILL INQUIRIES CLOSE?
Since I need to build savings for moving and the new studio, this will remain open for as long as I can realistically manage. Inquiries will act as a waiting list and I will pick from them as I find the time. You will only be contacted when I am ready to actively work on your piece- if you no longer have interest or the funds by the time I get to you, that's perfectly fine! Just let me know so I can move onto the next person quicker.
BASIC COMMISSION INFORMATION
|
|
I have completed over 700 commissions in the past; I have a lot of experience in this. If this is your first time commissioning someone, this form will help you tell me what I need to know.

Legal Ownership:
As per usual copyright law for freelance personal commissions, I automatically hold the rights to the finished illustration- my pieces are not "work for hire" (which signs away my rights) unless deliberately discussed with me, agreed upon, and a contract signed.
As a courtesy for my freelance clients, I allow them to post the illustration on their social media and reproduce for personal use. Clients may not reproduce the work for profit/commercial use without explicit permission from me, and under no circumstances will the piece be allowed for use with cryptocurrency. I am willing to sell the commercial rights for a project but the sale will reflect commercial pricing.

ABOUT THE ART
Commissions are mixed media! All pieces are sketched traditionally, printed off, and then traced onto bristol board or watercolor paper. From there, I ink them with a rosewood dip pen and india ink, with some fixes in white gauche. Once I'm satisfied with lines, they are scanned back into my computer and I color them digitally.
For the physical lines, full body pieces tend to be 8.5x11"in size, while portraits or otherwise extremely simple concepts are around 5 x 7". The lines are shipped to the client with tracking, a strong backing board, and a plastic bag made from recycled material.

ABOUT SPONSORED ILLUSTRATIONS
Just to be clear- by default, I expect client's OCs for commission inquiries, but you can also commission me to create a free reign illustration! Sponsored illustrations are essentially just an option to throw money at me and let me draw whatever I want. You will be shipped the original lines and if I make a video on the illustration process, you will be credited as the sponsor in said video.
Past clients who sponsor me have usually picked fairies to see my own take on them, which I am always happy to get. You can also give me a word prompt to run with, or even just ask me to draw more of my boys.

EXAMPLES
Price exists on a sliding scale depending on complexity and research involved. I don't automatically charge extra for multiple characters because it depends on the complexity of the designs & composition. In regards to backgrounds- decorative frames, moon & stars, and woodlands are the easiest & quickest for me to do, thus work well for keeping a lower price if you are on a budget.
Headshot
Starting at $50
A very basic headshot with some minor decorative framing and simple monochromatic colors. I do not have any examples of what I'm doing exactly, but the following examples for larger pieces should give you an idea.
Majority of pieces will stay at $50 flat, only going up if another character is added to the same portrait.

Simple Illustration
Starting at $80
Leaning more into decorative framing and portraits. Busts can be done much quicker and cheaper than full bodies.
Each example captioned with what a similar piece would be quoted
Environmental/complex Illustration
Starting at $130
Leaning more into full-fledged environments with a narrative. Compositions focused on close ups/half bodies can be done quicker and cheaper than fullbodies.

Shipping: +$4 USA domestic, +$12 international
Back of art stamped with artist name & date
If you have a budget, let me know what it is and I will work a composition to reflect it! Lowest possible I'll accept currently is $80. The lower the budget, the more simple the composition.
Once work begins, you'll receive a very loose concept sketch for you to look over. After you confirm you like the idea, I print it out, do a refining sketch in pencil, and then traditionally ink it with dip pen on bristol board. It is then scanned and mistakes are touched up and a final check in with you is given before being colored digitally.
I don't have time to read through character profile websites. Instead, please give a quick summary of important info that is relevant to the piece in the inquiry.
Good example of info that is useful to me:
"Waite is a Victorian-era ghost who is very sweet and loving but also a bit stubborn at times. He likes all manner of dress, so you can draw him in any garb you want, but even in dresses a traditional masculine influence tends to be there. Could you draw him half-body, in a posh English library, with a stack of fairytale & anatomy books he's eager to read? "

If you want to inquire for multiple commissions at the same time, you can give the information for them all in one go, just make sure to tell me which is what!
